ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A Speech-Language Pathologist Consultant at Walter Lawson Children's Home will provide onsite assessment services such as conducting annual speech/language and feeding evaluations for residents, write annual feeding plans and conduct hearing screenings. Additional duties include collaboration with interdisciplinary team to write goals for residents. Full job description is available for review at interview.

 

Candidate must hold current IL DFPR license for Speech-Language Pathology and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), granted by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Additionally, candidates require IL Professional Educator Licensure with Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement. Prior experience working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.

This position is available beginning late-July 2018. We are seeking a candidate who can commit to 10-12 hours per week during the duration of the contract. Walter Lawson Children's Home is an equal opportunity employer.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Driver’s license per position requirements. Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in the state in which they will be practicing.
